Jennifer Lopez Make Up: How to Get J. Lo's Glowing Skin

What comes to mind when you consider Jennifer Lopez? Is it actress, artist, dancer, or American Idol judge? Maybe, but one result she's excellently known for is having luminous skin. At one point, she released a record entitled, "Glow." Numerous people thought she was referring to her attractive, stunning skin. No matter if she's at a film premier or awards show, J. Lo normally has beautiful skin and attractive makeup which accentuates her very best trait which are her eyes. It's no problem to copy the Jennifer Lopez make up look to add a tiny bit of brilliance into your life.

Eyes

J. Lo employs the smoky eye look the majority of of the time to focus on her attractive brown eyes. Of course, makeup artists frequently use the air brush method on her, but you can still duplicate her look with usual make up. Her colors of option are shimmery earth tones like bronze, brown, gold, and taupe. For awards shows, she experiments with pretty shades of silver. These are practical colors anyone can wear in the day and adapt to going out at night. For added accentuation, be sure to use a white cream highlighter with shimmer on the eye brow bone. An eye pencil in white can be used to line the inside of the lower lash line to give you the "dollish" look J. Lo has perfected. Next, apply dark brown or black liner to the upper and lower lash line. You can use a pencil liner (run it delicately back and forth over the lash line) or a damp eye liner brush dipped in dark brown or black eye shadow. Mineral pigments work very good for this and last all day with no possibility of "raccoon eyes." Use a brow liner or powder to fill in your brows. Do not leave out the lashes! For a special night out, you can use false eye lashes, otherwise just apply black mascara to the top and bottom lashes to conclude off the eyes.

Lips

J. Lo's lip color can only be looked upon one way: neutral. Occasionally she employs a pink color, but it is light colored which brings more interest to the eyes. A good rule of thumb in makeup is if you are emphasizing the eyes with the smoky look, you should decide upon a neutral lip color. J. Lo has this down to a science. She in every situation has gloss on the lips for extra shine, so whether you choose a nude beige, peach or pink lipstick, be sure to use gloss in a similar shade or use clear gloss. You can also select to use to skip the lipstick entirely and simply line the lips with a nude colored lip pencil, then use gloss to finish it off.

Skin

Except for her eyes, J. Lo's skin is her sexiest aspect. Before applying any foundation or powder, be sure to start by massaging a quality moisturizer into freshly cleansed skin. Having a hydrated face will help the makeup stick better. Next, follow these steps to get the J. Lo Glow:
1. Apply concealer to problem areas, such as discoloration and blemishes. Blend in.
2. Using a brush, apply foundation in a color which closely aligns with your skin. A brush gives you more regulation of the foundation when blending it into your skin for a smooth, seamless look.
3. Use a bronzer to highlight your cheekbones and upper forehead area. apply with a large brush and remember to blend in so as not to have evident lines.
4. Apply a pink or beige cream (great for dry skin) or powder blush (better for oily skin) to the apples of cheeks.
5. Use a white highlighting cream to enhance the glow. This can be the same product you applied to define the brow bone. Dot lightly onto upper cheek bones and down your nose.

It is up to you to determine the order in which you do the makeup. I personally like to do my eyes first, then deal with the face. This way, if some of the eye shadow falls onto the skin, it can efficiently be cleared up without messing up the foundation.

The very best part about the Jennifer Lopez make up look is its shimmery earth tones which flatter any eye color. This look is useful since you can tone it down for the day and jazz it up for those crazy nights out. J. Lo was one of the first the rich and famous to rock the monochromatic look with dewey, radiant skin. It's not only a glamorous look, but one that encourages radiant, healthful skin.
